Chapter 21
Play, New Seeker

Malfoy's provocation wasn't a real desire to solo with Zhang Dong and his friends. This little guy was very clever.

On the surface, he wanted to duel with Zhang Dong and his friends. In reality, he was deliberately trying to trick them into leaving the Gryffindor dormitory in the middle of the night so that he could then go and tattle to Professor McGonagall.

In this way, according to the school rule of "No Night Wandering for Young Wizards", Zhang Dong and his friends would each be docked at least fifty points! This would be enough to drop Gryffindor from first place to last.

Zhang Dong was aware of this, so he wouldn't fall for it. However, he was even more certain that Ron and Harry, these two blockheads, would fall for it one hundred percent.

"But in that case... Forget it, let's just play this part of the video as well. I worked hard to earn these points; I don't want to lose them so easily."

Thinking this, Zhang Dong silently took out his phone and started flipping through his videos.

Old habits die hard, eating and watching videos, good for both body and mind.

Swipe!

The screen appeared in the dining hall again, but this time, everyone was no longer nervous at the sudden appearance of the screen. It seemed that everyone had gotten used to it.

Only the few professors sitting on the dais still held their wands defensively. But compared to the first few times, where they immediately cast spells, everyone was clearly much calmer.

"Great! The screen is back!"

"We can watch videos again. Without videos, my food wouldn't even taste good!"

"Last time it was that guy, Simon, who was the video star, now is it my turn?"

"If that guy Simon can be in the video, then... I can be too."

Looking at everyone's enthusiasm, Zhang Dong smiled slightly, then clicked on a video.

[Gryffindor's New Seeker (Part 1)]

Seeing this title, everyone's excitement dropped by three-quarters. The remaining quarter came from the little Gryffindor lions.

The moment they saw the title, everyone got excited.

"It's us! It's us!"

"Gryffindor's new Seeker? So this video is about Quidditch?"

"But who could it be? There doesn't seem to be anyone suitable to be Seeker among the third to seventh-year students. Could it be a second-year?"

No one thought of the first-year students, because there was no precedent at Hogwarts for a first-year student to become Seeker.

Everyone was eager to see who this new Seeker was.

[Defense Against the Dark Arts

Professor Quirrell, on the dais, was lecturing about Defense Against the Dark Arts. In the classroom, every student was looking sleepy, as if they had been given a weakened version of the Sleeping Curse.

At that moment, with a bang, the classroom door suddenly opened, and Professor McGonagall appeared in the doorway.

"Excuse me, Professor Quirrell. I have something I need to talk to Wood about. Is it alright?"

"Of course, please go ahead."

Wood whispered "Great," then followed Professor McGonagall out of the classroom. However, as he walked towards the classroom, he saw a figure that almost everyone recognized.

"Wood, I've found you a new Seeker."]

What!!

Seeing this, everyone's expressions instantly became colorful.

"Harry Potter! How is that possible? He's only a first-year! Can he even fly on a broomstick?"

"He... should be able to. I saw it in the classroom today. Zhang Dong was taking on three people, using spells beautifully."

"Ha? You had such a good time and didn't call me?"

"Is that the point? Isn't the point that Harry Potter just learned about flying today?"

"Sigh, Gryffindor is really running out of people."

Listening to the discussion around him, Harry was also somewhat unexpected. Clearly, he didn't understand why he suddenly became the Seeker.

Speaking of which, what was a Seeker?

On the dais, the professors' eyes were focused on McGonagall. They were clearly asking her what had happened.

However, Professor McGonagall was also baffled.

Dumbledore smiled, apparently thinking of something amusing.

["Did you hear? Harry Potter has become the youngest Seeker in history." ]

Soon, this news spread throughout Hogwarts, and everyone was discussing it.

As he listened to everyone's discussion, Harry was clearly nervous. Ron, walking beside him, said excitedly,

"Harry! Quidditch is the coolest! The most exciting game! You'll do great!"

Looking at Ron, who was even more excited than himself, Harry was a bit unsure. He said,

"But Ron, I've never played Quidditch before. What if I make a fool of myself?"

Ron didn't know how to comfort his friend. Hermione, on the other hand, looked at him excitedly and said,

"You won't make a fool of yourself. I know the reason. Come with me."

Hermione took Harry and Ron to Gryffindor's trophy cabinet.

"Look."

Harry followed Hermione's finger and saw three bright names on the shining Quidditch Cup champion trophy.

The three names were: Minerva McGonagall on the left, Charlie Weasley on the right, and... in the center...

James Potter!]

"What a disgusting name," Snape muttered under his breath, then turned to McGonagall and said, "McGonagall, if you think James Potter would be a good Seeker, then his son can also be a good Seeker. I think you're being delusional."

To Snape's "kind reminder", Professor McGonagall simply said calmly,

"I don't need your reminder, Professor Snape. And, I believe in my student. He will inherit his father's talent."

Professor McGonagall didn't give Snape any face.

Mainly, she suddenly remembered last year's Quidditch Cup, where their Gryffindor was beaten badly by Slytherin, and she hadn't been able to face Snape for a week.

Perhaps now, she really had a glimmer of hope.
