Chapter 3
The Just Order of Angels

Tai Hao quickly adjusted his attitude, trying to slow down his expression.

“You all retreat!”

Tai Hao glanced at the guards whose bodies were trembling slightly.

Even though they were battle-hardened imperial elites who were used to killing, they were still afraid when they suddenly saw a being beyond their comprehension.

“Your Majesty, be careful. These winged monsters are of unknown origin. I suggest we capture them and interrogate them severely.”

A young general stepped forward, his gaze fixed on the three angels with hostility.

Women with wings.

There were no such creatures on Origin Star.

The younger generation of the Star River Empire had been baptized with the knowledge of the new system, and he didn't believe that these women were monsters. It was more likely that they came from the vast universe.

The Empire might be able to obtain higher technology from them, just like the alien spacecraft that had accidentally crashed on Origin Star in those science fiction novels.

The new generation of the Empire had learned to look at the world through the lens of science, and they also knew the concept of the universe.

This was good advice, if only the Empire's technology was stronger than the angels!

Tai Hao looked at the general who had spoken out with a cold gaze. The general was taken aback and immediately shut his mouth.

Tai Hao withdrew his gaze and looked at the three angels who were standing in the center of the hall, showing a keen interest. He faced them with the most humble and gentle attitude in this life.

“Three mysterious guests, how should I address you?” To show his respect, Tai Hao had already stood up when he asked. However, the imperial aura that he had cultivated over many years still gave him an air of authority and domineering.

“Your Majesty of the Star River Civilization, you can call me August Yan. It's a bit of a mouthful in your language, so you can also call me Thunder God.”

The leader of the three was Angel Yan.

Her personality was very consistent with Tai Hao's memory from his previous life. Confident, arrogant, fearless, and a little mischievous.

“You are too presumptuous! How dare you speak to His Majesty like that!”

Angel Yan's casual attitude enraged the civil and military officials present, and someone couldn't help but stand up and shout.

However, the name "Thunder God" was deeply engraved in the memories of the officials.

This world also had myths and legends and religious beliefs, so they naturally knew what "god" represented.

However, because of the advanced knowledge brought by Tai Hao, very few people still believed in those vague feudal superstitions.

The majority of the Empire's high-level officials present were already semi-firm materialists.

“Kid, can't you control your subordinates? Sister Yan is rarely interested in talking to you, you should seize the opportunity.”

Angel Mo Yi, standing next to Angel Yan, said to Tai Hao in a clear voice, while not forgetting to glare at the one who had spoken out with sharp eyes.

“Are you really a god? In my understanding of the ninja, a god is an omniscient and omnipotent being.”

“This~ Thunder God, can you create the universe, establish the basic laws of physics, and ignore the conservation of energy?”

Tai Hao's questioning voice echoed through the hall, and both the three angels and the civil and military officials present were stunned.

No one expected Tai Hao to ask such a question with such a serious attitude.

Those who understood what the basic laws of physics and the conservation of energy meant couldn't help but show a mocking smile discreetly.

Thunder God?

Now it was just a joke. Angel Yan glared at Tai Hao with a look of dissatisfaction on her face, who was full of a thirst for knowledge.

She had the power to create the universe and establish the laws of physics. If I had that ability, I would have wiped out that bitch Mo Gan Na long ago!

Tai Hao saw Angel Yan's embarrassment and dissatisfaction and asked the officials in the hall to leave. “You all retreat. Go back to your posts and take care of the affairs of state. I want to have a conversation with these three beautiful ladies.”

“Your Majesty, absolutely not! They…”

All the officials were startled when they heard Tai Hao's order. What if these three strange women took the opportunity to kill their monarch?

The Empire had just unified the globe, and the internal situation was still unstable. There were still many remnants outside the Empire.

If His Majesty were to be harmed at this time, the entire Empire would be thrown into chaos!

Most importantly, His Majesty still had no heir, which was their greatest concern.

“Don't say anything. I believe these three beautiful ladies will not harm me.”

Tai Hao responded to his officials in a tone that brooked no refusal.

Tai Hao knew in his heart that the angels, although arrogant and domineering, upheld the so-called order of justice and would not harm ordinary people. These beautiful and kind creatures would not violate their beliefs.

“This…”

“Your Majesty, be careful. Your humble servants will take our leave.”

“Guards, protect His Majesty, even if it costs you your lives!”

Seeing Tai Hao's unyielding attitude, the officials could only leave the White Chalk Palace with a heavy heart.

After the officials left the White Chalk Palace, the previous guards walked into the hall, distributed around Tai Hao, ready to block any attacks with their bodies at any time.

Tai Hao felt a slight warmth in his heart and gave up the order to yell at them to leave.

Inside the hall.

Tai Hao sat back on the throne and asked the guards to bring in three chairs to place in front of the throne.

“Three beautiful ladies, please have a seat. I am eager to hear your true identities.”

As Angel Yan sat down on the chair, Tai Hao straightened his posture and gestured with his hand for the three to reintroduce themselves.

“Alright, let’s start over!”

Angel Yan no longer mentioned Thunder God.

“I am Angel Yan, from the Heavenly Court of Melo. I am an angel warrior under the command of the Holy Keisha. The one on my left is Angel Chase, a guardian-level angel. The one on the right is Angel Mo Yi, also a guardian-level angel.”

Angel Chase and Angel Mo Yi both nodded slightly to Tai Hao.

Tai Hao's heart moved. It seemed that these two had a strong opinion of him! What was the reason?

But now was not the time to consider this question.

Tai Hao wanted to know why Angel Yan and the others had descended. Was it because of the Star River Empire's unusual rate of development, or had the demon civilization already…?

“So, Angel ladies from the Heavenly Court of Melo, what is the purpose of your descent upon my country?”

Angel Yan didn't know that the feudal monarch in front of her was already worried about the conflict between angels and demons.

“Cosmic life is precious.”

“Every once in a while, we go to different life planets to guide the intelligent life on those planets to the right path, to survive in this cruel universe.”

“To avoid being contaminated by those filthy, evil, and depraved ideas.”

Seeing Angel Yan's look of disgust, Tai Hao feigned a look of confusion.

Seeing Tai Hao's bewildered look, Angel Yan became increasingly irritated and stood up directly, walking to Tai Hao's side. The surrounding guards quickly blocked Angel Yan and pointed their weapons at her.

“No need to be so excited. If I really wanted to harm him, even if you had more people, it would be useless!”

Seeing the guards unmoved, Angel Yan sighed and said casually, “Whatever, it’s up to you.”

“Mortal emperor, I will make it simple for you. We angels represent justice, and we need to ensure that your civilization is under the order of justice. You just need to live simply and then find the true meaning of happiness…”

Angel Yan walked back and forth in the hall, the metal click-clack of her high-heeled boots hitting the floor, making a crisp metallic sound.

After listening to Angel Yan's words, Tai Hao feigned a look of understanding.

“I understand what you mean. You want the Empire to believe in your angels, right?”

Angel Yan stopped and replied, "That’s a fair way to understand it."

Although they weren't being taken in as dogs, it wasn't far off.
