On the coast.
As a Victory Eagle carrying a liquefied natural gas tank and a small missile simultaneously dropped, the moment they landed on the monster's massive body, they exploded into a raging sea of fire.
The footage was transmitted to the Victory Team's command room, and everyone stared intently at the situation within the inferno.
Then, the monster's roar suddenly echoed, and a huge figure in the flames jumped up, burning, and swatting at the fire engulfing it.
The monster, Silizan, flailed around, trying to escape the surrounding inferno, completely clueless as to why it woke up on fire.
But the sheer power of the liquefied natural gas made extinguishing the flames impossible.
Seeing the giant, struggling figure fleeing through the inferno, Zewei and the others were shocked.
That Jiang He Daoist was right again! Zombie monsters, they really are living creatures! Although not the type of zombies that Dragon Nation speaks of.
Yoshikawa, however, stared wide-eyed, disbelief etched on his face.
Under the watchful gaze of Jūjō Hibiki, his face flushed crimson. He hurriedly turned his head away, fanning himself rapidly with his folding fan to cool down.
As if the distant flames of the natural gas were burning on his own face.
Yoshikawa felt like he was about to cry.
Why was he constantly being slapped in the face recently? Three monster encounters, and he’d been proven wrong three times. His face was nearly swollen.
He felt that in the future, when encountering monsters, he should try to judge them from a perspective that defies scientific logic.
Only then would he have the opportunity to save face as the Director of the Earth Defense Force Peace Alliance, TPC.
Yoshikawa made a mental vow.
...
"This damn monster is finally down!" On the coast, Sōgō lowered his binoculars, a look of excitement on his face.
Still inside the two fighters, Shinjo, Lina, and the others watched as the giant figure, previously struggling in the inferno, slowly stopped moving and finally fell, their hearts filled with joy.
The flames burned for a while before gradually extinguishing.
The spot where the monster, Silizan, had been near the beach was now just a charred remnant left behind.
"This monster's vitality is truly astonishing. It didn't even die from that," Jiang He observed the charred remains with a hint of surprise.
He hadn't expected Silizan's recovery ability to be even stronger than he anticipated.
Although it appeared to be reduced to a pile of ash by the Victory Team, he could tell that the monster's crucial energy absorption core, its abdomen, was still intact.
With a little time, it would likely recover in an instant.
As Jiang He predicted, the charred remains of Silizan began to swell as the flames died down.
"Something's not right!" Sōgō noticed the movement in the charred remains, and the others turned their attention to it as well.
The black substance on the outer layer of the charcoal was gradually peeling away, and something inside was rapidly expanding. Tail and limbs were gradually forming.
"Roar!!"
In just a short moment, the mere pile of charcoal transformed back into a massive monster, roaring loudly.
"No good, the monster has been reborn. It's heading towards the city's energy station!" Observing the monster Silizan's direction of movement after its regeneration, Hori immediately determined the alarming outcome.
If such a gluttonous monster made its way into the city, it would be a colossal disaster.
"We didn't have enough liquefied natural gas tanks prepared. We couldn't completely burn this monster to death!" In the command room, Jūjō Hibiki furrowed her brows, biting her nails in anxious thought.
It seemed that only a Giant could save the situation right now.
"Roar!!"
At that moment, a black monster suddenly materialized in a burst of crimson light particles, landing on the ground with a resounding thud that shook even the Victory Team's base on the sea.
"Is that Golza? Another monster has appeared!" Nori exclaimed.
Everyone was taken aback. Another monster had appeared at this critical juncture!
"Wait, why does this Golza look different from the one we saw before? And what is it doing?!" Hori exclaimed in astonishment, his eyes practically popping out of his head.
Even the others stared in disbelief at the scene unfolding in the distance.
As EX Golza appeared, it struck a classic pose, much like an Ultra.
Then, it assumed a stance as if it were about to confront the monster Silizan.
This bizarre sight stunned everyone.
Who am I?
Where am I?
Did I just see a fake monster?
After a triple-question self-doubt, Sōgō and the others still hadn't wrapped their heads around it.
"If only I had a camera right now, I could capture this moment," Jiang He lamented with a click of his tongue, seeing the Victory Team members all staring wide-eyed in the distance.
Such a classic scene.
This EX Golza was, of course, summoned by him.
As for why he made EX Golza strike that pose, it wasn't entirely out of a sense of mischief.
Jiang He considered that as he acquired more and more monster powers through duplication, if every time he summoned them, the Victory Team saw them as enemies, it would be a real hassle.
It would be better to take this opportunity to plant a seed in the minds of the TPC that there were monsters who were on the Ultra's side.
And this wasn't entirely untrue.
Not to mention other universes, but in this one, three million years ago during the Ultra-Ancient era, there were monsters who followed the Light Giants.
