Chapter 6
The Background of the Involved Student, the Excellent Teacher, Shizuka Hiratsuka

What else could she say now?

Say that the students deserved it?

Say that Gu Cheng was right?

This was obviously not something she, as a teacher, should say.

But wasn't it their own fault?

Ultimately, it was those few students who were just being mouthy and unlucky.

They offended people all the time.

And they offended the wrong person.

They offended Gu Cheng, who had awakened his superpowers.

But what a mess this was...

Hizuru sighed, placing her hand on her forehead.

One was a naive young man who had just awakened his superpowers and didn't know anything.

The other was a middle school girl who was always immersed in her own world.

No matter how you looked at it, they were a troublemaker duo!

Hizuru rubbed her temples, feeling her head start to ache again.

“Gu Cheng, do you know? Superpowered individuals can't just go around using their powers,” Hizuru said, trying to use a gentle tone. “Do you know about the Hero Association?”

“I do.”

Gu Cheng nodded.

“The Hero Association is an official organization that manages and regulates superpowered individuals. Its headquarters is located in City A, and it has many professional heroes under its command who are responsible for maintaining public order and fighting crime.”

“You seem to know quite a lot about it.” Hizuru was a bit surprised.

“I have a basic understanding.” Gu Cheng said calmly.

Hizuru continued, “Since you know about the Hero Association,”

“Then you should also know that the Hero Association has very strict rules about the actions of superpowered individuals, right?”

“Yes.” Gu Cheng replied.

“Using your powers in public and causing bodily harm could result in the Hero Association judging you as ‘Misusing Powers,’ and in serious cases, you could even have your Superpowered License revoked and be forced to undergo ‘Personality Inhibition’ treatment, do you understand?”

Hizuru spoke earnestly.

It seemed like she wanted to get Gu Cheng to take this seriously.

But

Before Gu Cheng could reply,

Tsukiyo, standing beside him, heard Hizuru's words and immediately became anxious, thinking that Hizuru was going to arbitrarily accuse Gu Cheng.

She didn't know where she found the courage, but she suddenly stood up.

“What?! Revocation of Superpowered License?! Forced ‘Personality Inhibition’ treatment?!”

“Master just taught those bad guys a lesson!”

“How is that ‘Misusing Powers’?!”

“And what ‘Personality Inhibition’ treatment?! Isn’t that a punishment used on criminals?!”

“How can you treat Master like a criminal?!”

“Tsukiyo, please calm down!”

Hizuru was a bit overwhelmed by Tsukiyo's barrage of questions.

She had forgotten that this middle school girl was the most sensitive to anyone saying anything bad about Gu Cheng.

“That’s not what I meant, I just wanted to say...”

Hizuru rubbed her temples, patiently explaining, “Gu Cheng just awakened his superpowers today, he doesn’t understand a lot of things.”

“And he used his powers because of the situation... I don't blame him.”

“Hmph, you better know it!” Tsukiyo crossed her arms and said confidently, “My Master is very powerful, you better not do anything reckless!”

Hizuru: “...”

I give up!

Hearing Tsukiyo's words, Hizuru couldn’t help but take a deep breath and decided to put the middle school girl aside for now, and explain it to her later. She turned back to Gu Cheng and said calmly, “Don’t worry, Teacher Hizuru.”

“I understand what you mean.”

“I’m glad you understand.”

Hearing this, Hizuru let out a sigh of relief, but then she remembered something and her expression became serious. “Right, Gu Cheng, about today’s incident...”

“The injured students...”

Hizuru paused, lowered her voice, and her tone became serious. “Their family backgrounds are quite special...”

“Special?” Gu Cheng raised an eyebrow, vaguely guessing what she meant.

“Yeah...”

Hizuru nodded and said hesitantly, “Several of the students' parents are high-ranking members of the Hero Association, and some are prominent figures in the political and business worlds...”

“In other words, if they want to hold you accountable...”

“Even if the Hero Association doesn’t intervene, I’ll still be in trouble, right?”

Gu Cheng picked up where Hizuru left off, his voice calm, revealing no signs of panic.

Hizuru was silent for a moment, then finally nodded.

“Yes, while I believe you didn’t intend to do it, those students’ parents may not be as rational as you.”

“My family is well-off and has connections with high-ranking members of the Hero Association.”

“So I know that the inside of the Hero Association is not as clean as it appears.”

“If those students’ parents put pressure on the Hero Association, they might very well send an A-Class hero to protect them.”

“They might even ‘restrict’ you...”

Hizuru said in a serious tone.

After saying this, she couldn't help but secretly observe Gu Cheng's reaction, only to find that he was still calm, as if he didn't care about this matter at all.

This made Hizuru doubt whether Gu Cheng really understood what an ‘A-Class hero’ meant.

“Sigh, I really don't know what to do with you.”

Hizuru looked at Gu Cheng, feeling a mix of emotions.

On the one hand, she felt that Gu Cheng had been a bit impulsive this time.

After all, the students’ families weren't simple, and if they really wanted to hold him accountable, Gu Cheng might have a hard time getting away with it.

But on the other hand, Hizuru knew that those students weren’t completely innocent in this matter.

If they hadn’t repeatedly provoked and mocked Gu Cheng and Tsukiyo, how would Gu Cheng have suddenly burst out and used his powers?

Ultimately, this incident stemmed from those privileged children lacking respect for others, escalating the conflict and leading to this outcome.

Thinking about this, Hizuru couldn't help but hesitate.

Should she help Gu Cheng?

If she did, it would be like going against those students' parents, potentially angering them and even affecting her career.

But if she just stood by and let those students’ parents put pressure on the Hero Association.

How could Gu Cheng, a newly awakened superpowered student, stand a chance against them?

After much thought, Hizuru couldn't let her conscience get the better of her and decided to help Gu Cheng.

So

Before Gu Cheng and Tsukiyo could react.

Hizuru rushed to her desk, grabbed her phone, and started searching through her contacts.

Soon, she found a number in her contacts and didn’t hesitate to dial it.

...

A few minutes later.

Hizuru briefly summarized the events to the person on the other end of the phone, emphasizing the students’ family backgrounds and the fact that Gu Cheng was a newly awakened superpowered individual.

The person on the other end of the phone listened silently for a moment, then said in a serious tone, “I understand, I’ll handle it.”

“Tell that Gu Cheng student not to leave the school, I’ll go there to pick him up.”

“Alright, thank you.” Hizuru breathed a sigh of relief and hung up the phone.

Then, she sat back down on the sofa and looked at Gu Cheng and Tsukiyo. “Alright, I've found someone to help you deal with this.”

Tsukiyo, hearing this, said excitedly, “Really? Great!”

“I knew Teacher Hizuru was still useful!”

Hizuru: “...”

You’re changing your attitude so quickly.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.
