Chapter 25
Dead Silence After the Crush

Shizuka Hiratsuka's shriek, like a lightning bolt splitting the stagnant air, drew everyone's eyes to Gu Cheng. All gazes converged on him.

The shelter's large screen similarly locked onto the young man.

Upon recognizing the uniform he wore, Yukinoshita Yukino's clear eyes widened slightly. A hint of surprise flashed across them, and her lips parted as she stared at the screen, fixated on the young man who seemed detached from the situation, leisurely at ease.

Gu Cheng sat on the windowsill, his legs swinging idly, his eyes calmly observing the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” outside the barrier.

Behind him, Tsukiyoi Rikka and Kato Megumi, along with a few female students who hadn't managed to evacuate the hallway, were staring intently at his back, their expressions filled with disbelief and a hint of fear.

“Master…” Tsukiyoi Rikka's delicate face still bore traces of tears from earlier.

Her voice was slightly hesitant, laced with a touch of worry.

“Don't worry, it's alright.”

Gu Cheng tilted his head slightly, his ink-black eyes calmly observing the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” outside the barrier.

“Originally, I was going to just crush you with my telekinesis.”

“But now, to alleviate the psychological trauma and post-traumatic stress response you've caused Rikka…”

“I've decided to let you… die with a bit more meaning.”

Gu Cheng spoke softly.

His tone was calm, as if he were merely talking about a trivial matter.

With that, Gu Cheng extended his right hand, his slender fingers gently clenching.

As he did so.

The colossal “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” was instantly pinned to the ground as if by an invisible hand.

“BOOM——!” A thunderous roar echoed.

The “Black Rhinoceros Beetle’s” massive body sank heavily into the ground.

“SCREECH——!!!”

Seeing this, the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” let out ear-piercing shrieks, wildly flailing its six thick limbs in an attempt to break free from the invisible restraint.

But no matter how it struggled, it was futile.

The invisible hand continued to bind its body tightly, rendering it immobile.

“What… what is Master doing?”

Tsukiyoi Rikka stared at this scene, her delicate face filled with disbelief.

“Gu… Gu Cheng-kun…”

Kato Megumi was equally speechless at the sight.

Her large, watery eyes stared unblinkingly at Gu Cheng's back, her heart churning with shock, unable to find peace.

“SCREECH——~!”

As if sensing the aura Gu Cheng emanated, an aura remarkably similar to the S-rank, second-ranked “Fubuki” it had been avoiding for years.

The “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” ceased its resistance, its shrieking becoming muffled.

Its massive eyes, like lanterns, fixed on Gu Cheng.

“Is it planning to use some other technique to suddenly counter me?”

Gu Cheng narrowed his eyes, seemingly discerning the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle’s” trickery.

And sure enough.

The next second.

“SCREECH——!!!”

The “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” shrieked again, a piercing sound.

Its six thick limbs dug deep into the ground, the sturdy asphalt pavement crumbling like tofu, spreading outwards.

Once it stabilized its footing, the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” no longer waited, instantly concentrating all its strength into its horn.

After building up its power, the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” violently slammed its head forward!

The horn, which had evolved into a giant, scythe-like blade, slammed into the front like a battering ram.

“BOOM——!!!”

“Rumbling, rumbling, rumbling——!!!”

In an instant, a shock wave visible to the naked eye erupted from the tip of the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle’s” giant, scythe-like blade horn!

The shock wave spread in a fan shape, compressing even the air, forming visible white airwaves that spread out in all directions.

The earth shook, sand and gravel flew.

Towering trees were uprooted, tossed through the air like toys hundreds of meters high, then torn apart into countless fragments in the air.

Reinforced concrete buildings, rendered powerless against this terrifying force, crumbled like building blocks, reduced to rubble.

Vehicles parked on the street were overturned, some even thrown into the air, then crashed heavily back to the ground, becoming piles of twisted scrap metal.

And, the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” slowly raised its head, its giant eyes, like lanterns, glittering with a cold light, gazing towards the golden barrier.

However.

When it saw the sight before it.

It couldn't help but be stunned.

For.

Just a few hundred meters away from it.

The golden barrier stood firmly in place.

Gu Cheng was still sitting on the windowsill, his legs swinging idly.

“Is it over?”

Through the telekinetic golden barrier, Gu Cheng looked at the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle’s” horn, capable of releasing shock waves, and spoke calmly.

“SCREECH——!!!”

Hearing Gu Cheng's words, the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” shrieked shrilly.

Its giant eyes, like lanterns, blazed with ferocity.

As if responding to Gu Cheng's provocation.

The “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” brandished its giant horn, once again viciously slashing towards the golden barrier.

“BOOM——!!!”

With a giant roar, the horn, which had evolved into a giant, scythe-like blade, collided with the golden barrier.

A flash of golden light flickered in the depths of Gu Cheng's eyes, and he casually raised his right hand.

The next second.

The “Black Rhinoceros Beetle’s” massive body seemed to be violently grabbed by an invisible giant hand.

It didn't even have time to let out a shriek before it was flung high into the air without any resistance, tracing a parabolic arc.

“SCREECH——!!!”

The piercing screech came a bit too late.

The massive body, like a broken kite, helplessly tumbled in the air for a few rotations before crashing heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

“BOOM——!!!”

Finally, the earth seemed to groan under the unbearable weight, cracking into countless grotesque fissures, spreading outwards like spiderwebs.

A giant crater, over a hundred meters in diameter, collapsed around the “Black Rhinoceros Beetle.”

The “Black Rhinoceros Beetle’s” massive body, like a collapsed mountain, lay prostrate in the enormous crater.

“SCREECH——!!!”

The “Black Rhinoceros Beetle” shrieked, struggling to rise, but to no avail.

The invisible hand was like a leech, clinging to it.

It bound its body tightly once more.
